THE COMPANY RUNS IN THE FAMILY
The company has proudly borne the Roffelsen name since 1977. The company has been handed from father to son, following the same recipe: “Always offer quality, reliability and flexibility.” Three core values that have been followed for three generations; in addition to the family ties, they make up the DNA of the company.
Roffelsen Plastics started with the production of clothes line cables. The entrepreneurship of the family members ensured that the product range has grown extensively, and the constant drive for innovative developments continues to grow.
But it is not just the range that they are trying to grow, Roffelsen Plastics is also striving to increase its knowledge, experience, and natural customer base. This healthy, business approach has bought the company to its proud position of leading manufacturer of plastic products and specialist in extrusion technology.
Roffelsen Plastics now has two business locations. The headquarters are located in the Netherlands, while manufacturing is carried out in Slovakia. The extensive network of distributors ensures that the products go all over the world to a variety of niche markets and consumers, as well major global players.
CANON OF ROFFELSEN PLASTICS
1977
Founded by Jan Roffelsen. Started in the bedroom of his home in the Van Leeuwenhoeklaan, Helmond, the Netherlands.
1979
Relocation to the Azalealaan, Helmond, into an office of approximately 100 m2.
1982
Relocation to the Van Cortebachstraat, Helmond. Office of approximately 100 m2 and industrial hall of approximately 500 m2. Fred Roffelsen joins the company, brought twine twisting into the company, thread was purchased.
1986
Relocation to the Rietbeemdweg, Helmond.
1989
Began with the recycling of granulate and failure processing.
1995
Relocation to the Haverdijk, Helmond.
2000
Establishment of Roffelsen Plastics Slovakia.
2004
Relocation in Slovakia, from Nitra to Surany.
2008
Mark Roffelsen joined the company. From a rental property to their own property.
2016
Extension of factory and warehouse in Slovakia.
2018
Mark Roffelsen completely takes over the company from his father Fred Roffelsen.
2019
Relocation in the Netherlands from Helmond to Eindhoven.
2020
Roffelsen starts with the production of 3D filaments.
THE FUTURE
It goes without saying that maintaining the quality standards is very important for the company. Market changes will continue to challenge the company to guarantee the innovative strength and flexibility. Other plastics and specialisations in the composition, mixing and homogenisation of materials remain priorities; furthermore, the company will continue to broaden the concept of sustainability further throughout the production process. The recycling of materials is already underway, but the process will be optimised further.
